I’m Ziporah with Helping Hands. I come in before the packers arrive and help you sort through everything – what’s coming with you, what’s getting donated, and what just needs to go. That way when the moving company does show up, they’re packing things that actually deserve to be packed.

I’m not a packer, and I don’t wrap your wine glasses. That’s what your moving company is for. What I do is make sure you’re not paying movers to pack and haul things you were going to get rid of anyway.

What a Move-Out Help Actually Looks Like

No judgment, no rushing. Here’s what I do:

Sort through rooms together: keep, donate, or haul-away.
Downsize closets, kitchen cabinets, and storage spaces before pack day.
Donate food, household goods, and clothing to local organizations.
Remove personal items like photos, records and other documents – organized and set aside for family or arranged for shipping if out-of-state.
Prep the home for an estate sale if needed – removing personal items, creating clear categories, making the space presentable.
Haul away anything that’s not making the move and doesn’t belong in a donation bin.

The movers handle the packing, I handle the decisions.

What I Don't Do

I want to be upfront: I’m not a licensed mover and I don’t pack or wrap fragile items. For the actual packing and loading, you’ll need a moving company. What I do is make their job — and yours — a whole lot easier.

Move-out help is priced by the hour or by the job depending on scope.

Half-day and Full-day rates available
