About Helping Hands
How This Started
I kept seeing the same person.
I started picking up odd jobs on Nextdoor and Facebook — moving furniture, hanging things, clearing out spaces. And I kept meeting the same person. A woman dealing with too much stuff, not enough help, and no interest in someone showing up and deciding how things should be done in her own home. Widowed, divorced, downsizing, or just finally tackling the list nobody ever got around to. She knew what she wanted. She just needed someone to actually do it.
So I built the thing that didn't exist. Local, affordable help from someone who listens first and lifts second. No crew of five. No mansplaining. Just me, showing up when I say I will, doing it the way you want it done.
Who I Serve
Women at a transition point.
Moving in. Moving Out. Downsizing after a loss. Finally dealing with the garage. Getting the storage unit under control before the estate sale. Whether it’s one heavy item or a full cleanout – if you’ve been putting it off because you didn’t know who to call, that’s exactly why I started this.
Here's what one client had to say:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Since that time, Zippie has helped me out with projects like repairing a leaking shower door and setting up an adjustable spray hose in my laundry room sink so I can give my dog baths. And most recently, she has been an absolute lifesaver after I had reconstructive surgery on my foot in March of 2026 and could not use my right leg during the initial recovery period. Zippie came to my house 7 days a week for 6 weeks to take my dog on a nice long walk, then would take care of things I couldn’t handle from cleaning floors to watering plants to making my bed. It is no exaggeration to say I could not have made it through this period without her – she has been absolutely indispensable!
In summary, Zippie is a very hard and reliable worker who will always show up. She will give you a very fair price and handle planned as well as unplanned tasks without complaint. I have hired various people to help with projects over the years and Zippie is by far the most capable and pleasant to work with. I recommend her without reservation for whatever projects you need doing – she will truly provide “Helping Hands”.
