Moving in is supposed to feel like a fresh start. Instead it usually feels like living in a warehouse for three weeks while you figure out where anything goes.
I’m Ziporah with Helping Hands. I come in after the movers leave and help you turn the chaos into something that actually functions. Unpacking boxes is part of it, but so is figuring out where everything goes, setting up systems that make daily life easier, and hanging all the things that make a place feel like a home.
This is the part the moving company doesn’t do. That’s where I come in.

What Move-In Help Actually Looks Like
No judgment, no rushing. Here’s what I do:
- Unpack boxes and help deide where everything lives.
- Set up functional organization systems: Kitchen, closets, pantry, bathroom.
- Hang pictures, curtains, mirrors and other wall decor.
- Assemble furniture that was taken apart for the move.
- Haul away anything that came with you that isn’t staying.
- Donation runs for items that don’t fit the new space.
- Box removal – I’ll take all your cardboard to the recycling center so you’re not stuck with a mountain of boxes. Many communities in Charlotte & Sarasota County don’t pick up large quantities of cardboard at the curb.

Move-in help is priced by the hour or by the job depending on what you need.

Hourly Rate: $40/hr
Half-day and Full-day rates available
Donation runs and haul-away priced separately when applicable.
